This hotel is quite modern. It has big rooms, modern bathroom with nice hot water. They give you heaps of toiletries that smell good. Easy access to beaches: left - 10 min walk to Muri beach. Right - 10 min walk to Tikioki beach, both sandy with great snorkeling on a sunny day. You can walk on the beach to the beaches! Bit rocky but you can see crabs, fishes, etc. Walking distance to shops and the local bus stops right outside of the hotel. The pool was actually really nice. Perfect temperature, clean. Not chemically! Since no children, it stays peaceful and clean and you can enjoy a lovely pina colada in the sunset.

amazing staff and wonderful part of the island. small enough that you recognise guests, big enough that you have privacy and can do your own thing. hope to come back again! close to be able to walk to Muri beach, but not so close that randoms walk past

Big rooms, great pool /sunlounger area, friendly staff, yummy cocktails & walking distance to Muri. Lovely spa on site.

Large, comfortable room, with amazing lagoon views beside the pool. Room was serviced daily except weekends, and had everything we needed. Great location with minimart, delicious Vietnamese cafe and coffee and crepe shop across the road. Public bus stopped at resort, and airport transfers were seamless. Most staff were super friendly and helpful. Walking distance to many other eateries and bars, and water activities. Resort had kayaks, snorkelling gear and reef shoes available to borrow.

The breakfast was OK.. The restaurant and bar were excellent.Our room was huge and the shower excellent. Really appreciated adults only. Loved the dogs and bus, and being within walking distance of the night market.

Location was great, room was very spacious and clean and tidy. Adults only was great too. Breakfast whilst small was good but a little bit pricey. Coffee was good though. Didn't have dinner there so couldn't comment on that. Restaurant isn't open for lunch but there is a great place just across the road called Saigon Shack

Gorgeous friendly staff who knew our names as we were greeted for breakfast each morning. Huge comfortable rooms. Felt private even though we were right next door to other guests. A really solid lovely adults only accommodation option.

The staff were AMAZING - the most friendly bunch of people you could hope for - particularly reception - a wealth of knowledge for recommendations! The room was lovely - spacious and comfortable, all that you need for a relaxed holiday The pool was beautiful! The lagoon is accessible right there also - although the photos don't show it well due to the wall - there are steps (with handrails) down to the water so you can swim in the lagoon if you prefer

We absolutely loved our stay at Moana Sands Lagoon Resort, check-in staff were amazing, the room exceeded our expectations and the lagoon views from our room were spectacular. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner, staff were amazing and food was delicious, inclusive breakfast was basic but sufficient (paw paw, apple, orange, yoghurt, cereal, toast and spreads) latte was really good (additional cost but worth it). We will stay again next time we are in Rarotonga.

We loved our week at this beautiful resort. Amazing views, modern and clean rooms, super comfortable bed, beautiful grounds and pool, handy restaurant downstairs which had great food. Use of resort kayaks for kayaking around lagoon was great also. All the staff were super friendly and accomodating, thank you.
